My Story

Chelsea Ames is a Bay Area Americana singer-songwriter whose music blends heartfelt storytelling, soulful melodies, and the kind of honest reflections that connect deeply with listeners. Raised in Southern California and inspired by her college days in Chico, CA, Chelsea began writing songs between classes and performing for friends, discovering a passion for turning life's experiences into music.

Today, Chelsea's songs explore themes of love, family, resilience, self-discovery, and finding joy in the everyday moments that shape us. Her latest album, All Is Well (2026), is a collection of songs inspired by motherhood, marriage, friendship, personal growth, and learning to make space for the passions that make us feel alive. Recorded largely live with her band, the album captures the warmth, authenticity, and energy of her live performances and is now available on vinyl.

After years of balancing family, career, and creativity, Chelsea has embraced music as a central part of her life, building a growing audience through live performances across the San Francisco Bay Area. Whether performing solo or with her band featuring Dave Criss on drums and Lance Houck on bass and guitar, Chelsea creates an inviting atmosphere where audiences can laugh, reflect, sing along, and feel connected through music.
