From the recording Big Little Dream
Abroad in San Sebastian
In the north coast part of Spain
Looking for something social
So we hopped on the euro train
We traveled south
Where the sun's always out
We tried to find
What the city's about
We toured around
We saw the Gaudi house
We found ourselves
In a huge roundabout
We were stopped in the middle of Spain
Then found a pub with an Irish name
Arrived in Barcelona
We arrived In Barcelona
Two girls from California
Felt like home
With two American Guys
Singing brown eyed girl
To the girls with green eyes
We were dancing
We bought cervesa
When they invited us
To their home
In the middle of Spain
At an Irish pub
Singing all our favorite songs
Woke up lost in the middle of Spain
Grabbed our passports and
Hopped on that train
We left Barcelona
Sunglasses on
Heading back on the Euro train
Staring out at the country
We left behind our walk of shame
Our friends they asked
But it was a blur
That day
Did it really occur
Not many hours
In that city unknown
We found ourselves
Together then alone
We said our trip to the middle of Spain
It's not a story we're telling today
It stayed in Barcelona
The story stayed In Barcelona
Two girls from California
Felt like home
With two American Guys
Singing brown eyed girl
To the girls with green eyes
We were dancing
And bought cervesa
When they invited us
To their home
In the middle of Spain
At an Irish pub
Singing all our favorite songs
From California to the middle of Spain
Felt like home for a moment that day
In Barcelona
I dedicate this to one of my best friends who I lived with in Spain and traveled around Europe with when we were in college. Thank you for the best travel moments, for being right at my side for all our big life events and for simply being you.
